The stain is a "bleed-through" of color from the cover. "This book contains many new ideas from the author's inventive mind--the same mind that devised the concept behind the communications satellite. The author envisions a huge, thin plastic sail fueled only by sunbeams, capable of traveling around the sun at speeds exceeding 5,000 miles per hour.."

Dj has shelfwear to the top edge of rear panel. Dj is clean and bright.
